A: Schoology is a learning management system (LMS), which allows students and teachers to interact and collaborate online. Schoology allows teachers to post assignments and other resources for their classes. Students can access Schoology from any computer or mobile device with Internet access. Schoology also allows teachers to collaborate with each other easily.
Q: What can parents see in Schoology?
A: There are a number of things parents can see in the platform. Parents can view courses, assignments, and calendars for all of their students. There are some things parents cannot see in their view such as; submitted assignments, comments from other children in the class, or teacher feedback.
Q: Why can't I see my student's submitted work in Schoology?
A: Partnering with your child’s teacher is a great way to stay in communication about any questions you have about assignments that have been submitted. We value the partnerships we have with parents and are happy to discuss specific questions you may have on your child’s work. Schoology is intended as a collaboration tool for students and teachers. Parents are able to monitor course content and view assignments, but not review a student's submitted work.
Q: Can I use Schoology on a mobile device or tablet?
A: Apps are available for both iOS and Android devices. See the app section on the website or use the links here to download the app for your device.
Q: How does the calendar feature work?
A: The calendar is a great feature that shows students assignments. One important note is that by selecting the "Calendar" tab from the Schoology homepage parents can see all assignments for your student. Clicking the "Calendar" tab from within a course shows only assignments for that course.
Q: Why are we using Schoology?
A: As COVID required remote or distance learning, we determined a need for a learning management system that would allow us to provide resources, assignments, communication etc. all in one place. Schoology allows us to stay connected and collaborate more effectively between students and staff.
Q: How do I access Schoology?
A: Parent access to Schoology is provided via access codes that are available from any of your child’s teachers. Parents create an account at www.schoology.com. Once you have an established Schoology account, you will be able to login with your email address and password. You can access Schoology from any computer with Internet access thru the campus specific URL or by clicking the log in link on the campus website. You can find detailed instructions HERE.
Additionally, you can find a comprehensive user guide to help parents HERE.
Q: I forgot my password. Can I reset it?
A: You can reset your password by . . . Enter your email address, and information will be sent to you via email.
Q: Why can't I see my child's attendance and grades in Schoology?
A: Schoology is not a replacement for Powerschoool. Powerschool is our official student records system and that is where you can find data including your student's attendance, grades, and class schedules.
Q: How do I contact my child's teacher?
A: The best way to contact your child's teacher is via email. To find a teacher's email address, check the staff directory on the campus website.
Q: I have multiple children in the District. Can I view all of my children under my Schoology account?
A: Yes. With Schoology, it's easy to add additional children to your parent account. There are step-by-step directions on how to add additional children here.

This web site is available in English and Spanish and provides:
Easy access on mobile phones
Simple training on how to access a hotspot
Free Tech Support phone line by Arizona public library staff (AZ LibTAP)
Special discounts provided by Arizona internet providers
Google Map with step by step directions to get to these free WiFi spots.
